Information we may collect includes your full name, email address, password, address, payment method data, photos, interests and hashtags, and any other information you may choose to provide to us. Information about your address, interests, and hashtags is optional. However, we collect this data in order to enable us to administer your account.
1.2 Information we collect when you use the Wavelength platform.
When you use the Wavelength platform, we automatically collect information about you, including but not limited to what events you are interested in, attending, and hosting.
1.3 Information we collect from external sources
Information about you may be collected from other sources, but only where these third parties either have your consent or are legally permitted to disclose your information. Examples include:
Social media services: if you login or register your account through a third party social media service, we will have access to some of your information from that service, such as your name and profile photos.
Member content: we may receive information about you when another member uploads content to the Wavelength platform.
2. Use of information
2.1 Operation of the Wavelength platform
We may use your information for various purposes related to the operation of the Wavelength platform. Such purposes include:
Provision, maintenance and improvement of the Wavelength platform. This includes the processing of transactions, and monitoring the performance of the Wavelength platform.
Displaying information about you, for example your interests, photos and hashtags. This information will be visible on your profile.
Personalisation of the Wavelength platform. For example, to promote content which is aligned with your interests.
Monitoring and analysis of trends in connection with the Wavelength platform.
Detection, investigation and prevention of fraudulent events, abuse and other illegal activities; protection of the rights and safety of others; enforcement of compliance with our policies, applicable law and government requests.
Performance of accounting and administrative tasks, and enforcement or management of legal claims.

We may use your information for various purposes related to our communication with you. Such purposes include:

3. Sharing of information
3.1 Through the Wavelength platform
We share some of the information we collect by displaying it on the Wavelength platform, within your profile page. Some information, such as your full name and event history, is always visible. Other pieces of information, such as your hometown, location and interests, are optional, but in the instance where you provide this information, it too shall be displayed.
3.2 With our service providers
We may use service providers in relation to operating and improving the Platform. These providers are used to assist with certain functions, such as the payment processing, data hosting, and some aspects of our technical and customer support. We take measures to ensure that these service providers access, process, and store information about you only for the purposes we authorize, subject to confidentiality obligations.
3.3 Following the law and protecting Wavelength
We may access and disclose information about you to third parties, including the content of messages, in the event that we believe such a disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, applicable law, regulation or legal processes.
3.4 Affiliate sharing and merger, sale or other asset transfers
If Wavelength is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, bankruptcy, or sale of our assets, information about you may be shared, sold or transferred as part of that transaction. We may also share information about you with current or future corporate parents, subsidiaries or affiliates.
3.5 Other situations
We may de-identify or aggregate information about you and share it freely, so that you can no longer be identified. We may also share information about you with your consent or at your direction or where we are legally entitled to do so.

4. 1 Transfer of information to other jurisdictions
Wavelength is based in the United Kingdom. Information about you will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United Kingdom.
4.2 Security
We store all data on secure servers. We use firewalls designed to protect against intruders and test for network vulnerabilities. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Where you have a password which enables you to access the Wavelength platform, you are responsible for ensuring that this password is complex, secure and confidential. If you would like to update or change your password, you may select the 'Forgot your password?' link on the login page. You will be sent an email to allow you to reset your password.
4.3 Data retention
We retain certain information that we collect from you whilst you are a member of the Wavelength platform, and in certain instances where you have deleted your account, for the following reasons:
To enable you to use the Wavelength platform.
To better understand the traffic to the Wavelength platform, so we can provide all members with the best possible experience.
To detect and prevent abuse of the Wavelength platform and illegal activities.
To comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements.
Disclaimer: when we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your information, we will either delete or anonymize it.
4.5 Policy scope
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information you provide to third parties, such as other members of the Wavelength platform. The Wavelength platform may direct you to a third-party service, such as social media services, or a portion of our Platform may be controlled by a third party (typically through the use of a frame or pop-up window separate from other content on our Platform). Disclosure of information to these third parties is subject to the relevant third party's privacy policy. We are not responsible for the third-party privacy policy or content, even if we link to those services from our Platform or if we share information with these third parties.
4.6 Revisions to this policy
We may periodically modify this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will provide notice to you by publishing the most recent version, and revising the date at the top of the Privacy Policy. If we make any material change to the Privacy Policy, we will provide additional notice to you, such as by sending an email.
5. Your choices
5.1 Account information
You may update or correct your account information by editing your account settings, or by sending a request to privacy@wavelengthevents.com as outlined in Section 6. You may deactivate your account by editing your account settings or by sending an email to privacy@wavelengthevents.com.
5.2 Location information
When you first access the platform via your mobile device, we will collect information about your location, which we use to provide more accurate recommendations for events in your area, and to improve the Wavelength platform. Location information may be switched off, however this may result in the platform not functioning properly.
We respond to all requests that we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. You can contact us at privacy@wavelengthevents.com.
Rights you may have, depending on your country of residence, include:
Accessing, correcting, updating or requesting deletion of your information.
Opting out from marketing communications that we send to you.
Withdrawing your consent at any time if we have collected and processed your information with your consent. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing that we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
